About the Facilities for Differently-Abled (E,G., Barrier - Free Environment)
The Differently Abled (Divyangjan) Cell of Akhilabhagya Post Graduate College, Ranapar, Gorakhpur (Affiliated to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur) has been established to promote an inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free educational environment for students and employees with disabilities. The Cell is committed to ensuring equal opportunities, dignity, and full participation in academic and campus life in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, and the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The Cell works to facilitate access to educational resources, assistive support, Government welfare schemes, and campus facilities while fostering awareness and sensitivity towards the rights and needs of persons with disabilities.

• To facilitate access to Government scholarships, assistive devices, and welfare schemes.
• To encourage the full participation of Divyangjan students in academic, cultural, sports, research, and extension activities.
Objectives
• To safeguard the rights and interests of students and employees with disabilities.
• To identify and address accessibility-related barriers within the institution.
• To facilitate academic support and reasonable accommodations as per applicable regulations.
• To disseminate information regarding Government scholarships, fellowships, assistive technologies, and welfare schemes.
• To promote awareness and sensitivity regarding disability inclusion among students and staff.
• To coordinate with relevant institutional committees and Government agencies for matters relating to accessibility and inclusion.
Functions of the Differently Abled (Divyangjan) Cell
The Cell shall:
• Provide guidance and support to students with disabilities regarding admissions, academics, examinations, and campus facilities.
• Facilitate reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable laws and institutional policies.
• Assist eligible students in accessing scholarships, assistive devices, and Government welfare programmes.
• Organize awareness programmes, workshops, and sensitization activities on disability inclusion and accessibility.
• Identify barriers to accessibility and recommend measures for creating a barrier-free campus.
• Coordinate with departments, the Equal Opportunity Cell, IQAC, and other institutional bodies to strengthen inclusive education.
• Maintain records of activities undertaken by the Cell and submit periodic reports to the College authorities.
